Giving each student the agency to create is powerful, impactful, and important to their development as multifaceted individuals. I wish for every one of my students to leave my classroom feeling liberated by the experience of collective and individual musicking. Each student should be able to bring their whole self into my classroom, no matter the struggles they are facing. All people and all bodies have the right to make music.
